Tint Team – Terms & Conditions
1. Legal Window Tint Regulations (UK)
Tint Team operates in accordance with UK law regarding vehicle window tinting.
Under the UK Road Vehicles (Construction & Use) Regulations:
The front windscreen must allow at least 75% of light through (75% VLT).
The front side windows must allow at least 70% of light through (70% VLT).
Tint Team will not install window film on front windows that would make the vehicle illegal for road use in the UK.
There are no legal limits for tinting rear windows, provided the vehicle has two functioning side mirrors.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that their vehicle remains compliant with UK law.
2. Booking & Deposits
A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure a booking for window tinting, vehicle wrapping or signage services.
The deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.
If the customer cancels the booking, the deposit will not be refunded.
Tint Team reserves the right to reschedule appointments if required due to operational reasons.
3. Vehicle Condition
The customer must ensure that the vehicle is presented in a clean condition inside and outside before installation.
If the vehicle is excessively dirty or requires additional preparation, Tint Team reserves the right to charge a preparation fee.
Tint Team is not responsible for:
Pre-existing damage to glass, trim or paintwork
Weak or deteriorated interior trim
Previously damaged or repaired glass.
4. Window Film Installation Warranty
Tint Team provides a 1 year installation warranty against defects related to installation such as:
Peeling
Bubbling
Lifting
This warranty applies only to installation workmanship.
Manufacturer warranties may vary depending on the brand of film used.
The warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by misuse
Physical damage
Scratches
Incorrect cleaning
Mechanical damage
5. Removal of Existing Window Film
If a vehicle has existing window tint film installed, the removal process carries certain risks.
Older films or poorly installed films may cause:
Damage to heating elements
Damage to glass
Adhesive residue
By requesting removal of existing film, the customer acknowledges and accepts these risks.
6. Rear Heated Window Elements Disclaimer
Many vehicles have rear window heating elements (demister lines) which can become fragile over time.
During removal of existing window film these heating elements may detach from the glass.
Tint Team cannot guarantee the condition of rear window heater elements and accepts no responsibility for damage to these elements during film removal.
By authorising removal of old tint film the customer accepts this risk.
7. Vehicle Wrapping & Graphics
For vehicle wrapping or vinyl graphics installations:
Vehicles must be clean and free from wax or polish before installation.
Recently painted vehicles must have paint fully cured before wrapping.
Tint Team is not responsible for paint failure or paint lifting caused by poor paint condition or resprays.
Vinyl wraps require proper maintenance and care.
8. Aftercare Instructions
To ensure proper curing and longevity of the film or wrap:
Window Tint
Do not open tinted windows for 3–5 days.
Do not clean the inside of tinted windows for 7 days.
Vehicle Wraps
Do not wash the vehicle for 7 days.
Hand wash only using pH neutral shampoo.
Avoid automated car washes and high pressure washing close to edges.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may void warranty.
9. Liability Limitations
Tint Team shall not be liable for:
Damage caused by pre-existing defects
Failure of previously repaired glass or paint
Damage to fragile vehicle components
Damage caused during removal of old film installed by third parties
Tint Team’s liability is limited to the value of the service provided.

11. Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service with Tint Team, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
12. Vehicle Electronics & Sensors Disclaimer
Modern vehicles may contain electronic components within or attached to the glass, including but not limited to:
Rain sensors
Light sensors
Radio antennas
ADAS cameras and driver assistance systems
Heated glass elements
Embedded electronics or wiring
Tint Team takes all reasonable care during installation. However, Tint Team cannot guarantee the condition or functionality of electronic components located within or attached to the glass.
Tint Team accepts no responsibility for malfunction or failure of sensors, cameras, antennas or other electronic components that may occur during or after installation where such issues are caused by pre-existing conditions, manufacturer defects or fragile components.
The customer acknowledges that such systems are outside of Tint Team’s control.
13. Glass Condition Disclaimer
Tint Team is not responsible for any issues arising from pre-existing damage to the glass, including but not limited to:
Stone chips
Scratches
Previous repairs
Weak or deteriorated glass
In rare cases, damaged glass may crack during installation due to existing weaknesses in the glass structure.
